The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has just been launched in HongKong.
The retail price is HK$3980. That’s about USD 510. The high pricing is probably due to the current Christmas season.

Nokia in selling the 5800 XpressMusic for €429 in Spain. If you’re wondering why this is a lot higher than the promised Euro 297 price before taxes and subsides, it’s because it is bundled with Euro 100 voucher for music downloads from Nokia Music Store and 3 month subscription to Nokia Maps (Voice) Navigation service. This is the Christmas bundle so if you don’t want any of the subscriptions, you have to wait till January for the phone with no bundles.
Also, Nokia 5800 will cost Euro 299 when it is available in Germany next January.

Symbian Freak posted an article about the leaked nokia smartphones, complete with a table detailing the phone’s codename and prototype availability. The table has since been removed but if you’re curious, head over to the google cache.
Looks like there will be two more touch screen nokia phones, both with 5MP camera (yay) Wifi, GPS, FM transmitter and one of them has a QWERTY keypad I presume while the other comes with a 32GB memory.

I guess this is one of the most asked questions by psp-2000 owners. Can they replace the lcd screen of the psp-2000 with the psp-3000’s since the latter is supposedly much better and the ghosting problems have been solved.
Well, this site (in Japanese) took the liberty to rip apart the PSP-3000 so that you can take a look at what the inside looks like.
As to whether the LCD can replaced, it seems unlikely.

This is the gadget that most guys out there would like to own - a universal remote control. Most of the guys I know love to spend their free time in front of the television watching sports or some DVDs. This gadget would be a perfect gift for them as it can control over 200,000 devices. It is convenient and space saving as you don’t need to have 10 remote controls for 10 different devices anymore.
Now, if you’re wishing that your DVD Player supports more format, then check out this network media player. It plays almost all the common formats and it offers internal hard drive support!
Lastly, we all know the importance of backing up your files. Wouldn’t it be nice to have an extra backup option? This is where online backup services comes in. There are plenty of sites that offers such services but it is better to read the reviews first before signing up.
If you are looking to buy cool gadgets as Christmas gifts this year, check out Gadget Advisor.

The Nokia 5800 will only be released in Indonesia, India, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Taiwan and Russia by the end of this year. As for the other countries, you guys will have to wait till next year. I’m not too bummed about it as there will be plenty of reviews from users of these countries by the time the phone get released worldwide. It’s better to read the user reviews first before purchasing the phone.
Nokia has also anouced that the 5800 XpressMusic will be priced at Euro 279 before subsidies and taxes. That’s a very competitive price if you compare the other touch screen devices available in the market.
