Update : DELL 1520 and 1521 is OUT!
The pictures doesn’t look that attractive.The colors look cheap, IMHO.And it reminds me of Sony’s Vaio C series.Nevertheless, it sure looks better than the old inspirons.
I’m not sure which models the laptops in the pictures are of.Probably all, probably not.
The Dell 1520 and Dell 1720 will be having the Intel “Santa Rosa” Processors while the 1521 and 1721 will be having the AMD Turion processor.1520 and 1521 have 15.4 inch screen while the 1720 and 1721 have a 17 inch screen.
There are three options of graphics card available for the 1520 - INTEL Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, 128 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GS or 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M WP while the 1521 comes with ATI Radeon X1270 ATI Mobility™ . And they will weight around 3kg with battery but it depends on your configuration also.
As for the 1720, users will get to choose between INTEL Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, 128 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GS and 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M WP.The 1721 will have the ATI Radeon X1270.And it seems like the 17 inch will have Blu-ray disc drive as well?
The Dell Inspiron 1420 has a 14 inch screen and it packs the Intel Santa Rosa Processor.Two graphics card options will be available : INTEL Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 or NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 8400M GS with 128 MB dedicated graphic.
Anyways, the specs are just rumours! No official word from Dell about the new line up of Inspirions yet.
