I’ve been running the Google Adsense Referral 2.0 Ads for almost a month now.It hasn’t been doing really well but then again, Adsense had never done well for me.
After about two weeks of using them, I noticed that the referral 2.0 ads weren’t showing. So I took them down. I read in the forums that most people were having this problem too. But it seems like Google fixed it and it started showing again after a few days. So I put back the ads.
However, these past couple of days, it seems like the referral 2.0 ads are a bit buggy. There’s an option to choose the best performing ads in the adsense setup panel. If you untick the box next to the option, only the ads that you picked will show.But if you tick it, then any random ads can show on your site.I unticked it but still, random ads are showing on my site instead of the ones that I picked.
And it’s really pissing me off coz I just checked my stats and it seems like I got a measly $0.01 for a conversion.
Besides that, you won’t get any notifications if the advertisers withdraw their ads. So basically, you have to check your site to see if the ads are still showing. If it is not, then you have to pick other type of offers.
There are still much room for improvement with the Referral 2.0 ads.
