There are two different machines in the Dell Inspiron 1520 series of computers, the 1520 and the 1521. So what’s the difference?
Inspiron 1520
Contains either an Intel Core 2 Duo or Centrino Duo Processor in the higher end models. The Inspiron 1520 contains Intel processors, which quite a few people seem to prefer.
Inspiron 1521
This is basically the same laptop as the 1520 however it contains an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor.
As with other dell machines the 1520 series is very fashionable, it is available in a wide range of colors rather than the common black! You can have it in:
- Red
- Blue
- Pink
- Yellow
- Brown
There are plenty of other colorful laptops out there, but normally these laptops sacrifice on the option list. The dell however has an extensive feature list, and is available in many colors.

The Spec of the Dell Inspiron 1520 depends on the exact model that you choose.

Many people don’t think about the number of connections available on the computer that they are thinking of buying. However if you don’t have enough connections it can be very annoying!

The features available on the inspiron 1520 laptop is average compared to other laptops, however there are a few extra features that are of interest. The laptop’s screen is very sharp and can have a very high resolution.
If you commonly use the internet out and about then you can pay extra to have a WWAN module. When using this you would have to pay for the data services.
Blue ray drives are still fairly new, and seeing them in a laptop is pretty rare. The Inspiron 1520 can include a blu-ray drive as an optional extra.
