A year or so ago, I contemplated getting a photo printer and so I did some research on the net to find the best and affordable photo printers. I came across a few review sites and read through the reviews a few time but I never made up my mind. A year has passed and I still haven’t bought a photo printer.
I guess one of the reasons I couldn’t make up my mind was the price of the printer ink. Sure, some of the photo printers are really cheap and affordable but in the long run, I don’t think I can keep up with the cost of the ink and photo papers. It will make more sense to just have the photos printed out in the photo shops especially if you are printing hundreds of photos as the photo shops usually offer discounts for bulk printing.
Nowadays, most of the printers in the market are able to print on photo papers but the quality might not be as good as a photo printer’s. My current printer can print on photo papers and the quality is acceptable though it is nothing to shout about. I’m aware that I can use compatible inks, which will be cheaper than original ones but I doubt the quality will be the same as the original.
Do keep in mind that sometimes, it’s cheaper to buy printer ink online even with the shipping charges. So before you head out to get some printer ink, do a search online first as this might save you a few bucks and some time.
