I still think the whole fiasco involving the name iPhone are quite funny.I mean dosen’t Apple’s lawyers check whether the name iPhone is trademarked before they reveal the phone at Macworld?
Or do they assume everything with i in front belongs to Apple? Or they know all along that iPhone is trademarked?
Apparently, Cisco (the parent company of Linksys) had acquired the name in 2000 (7 years ago!) when they bought Infogear who was the one who trademarked iPhone 10 years ago.
Analyst had said that this brings in publicity for Apple, but what would Apple name their new phone now? iFone? haha
It will be interesting to watch the lawsuit.
